COMPANY INFORMATION

 

The following terms and conditions apply to the sale of PROTIS products owned by Kavita ehf., ID 660712-0460, Húnabraut 33, 540 Blönduós. Email: protis@protis.is.

 

Kavita ehf. reserves the right to cancel orders, e.g. due to incorrect pricing information or discontinue product lines without notice. The right is reserved to confirm orders by phone.

 

PRODUCT DELIVERY

 

All PROTIS orders are processed by Kavita ehf. the next business day after the order is placed. If the product is not in stock, a Kavita ehf. employee will contact you to inform you of the expected delivery time. Web orders can be picked up at the PROTIS office at Akralind 2 or shipped via Iceland Post.

 

For orders distributed by Iceland Post, the delivery, liability, and transport terms of Iceland Post apply to the delivery of the product. Kavita ehf. therefore bears no responsibility for lost shipments or damage that may occur to a product during transport. If a product is lost in the mail or suffers damage after it has been sent from Kavita ehf. to the recipient, the loss is the buyer’s responsibility.

 

Free home delivery applies to orders of 8,000 kr and above, unless otherwise stated.

 

PRODUCT PRICES AND SHIPPING COSTS

 

All prices in the online store are listed with VAT included. Standard VAT is 24% but for food products, including dietary supplements, VAT is 11%. Shipping costs are added to the listed price.

 

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

 

A 14-day return policy applies to purchases upon presentation of a receipt that adequately shows when the product was purchased. The product must be unused, in perfect condition and in its original undamaged packaging when returned. If a product is sealed, the seal must not be broken.

 

When returning a product, the original price of the product is used as the basis, unless the product is on sale or a special offer at the time of return. In that case, the price of the product on the day of return is used.

 

DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS

 

If a product is defective, customers are offered a replacement product and we will cover all shipping costs involved. Or we will provide a refund if requested. Otherwise, reference is made to the Consumer Purchases Act no. 48/2003 and the Consumer Contracts Act.

 

CONFIDENTIALITY (SECURITY TERMS)

 

The seller guarantees the buyer full confidentiality regarding all information provided in connection with the transaction. Information will not under any circumstances be disclosed to third parties.

 

GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

 

Icelandic law governs these terms and the contracts formed on the basis thereof. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved before the District Court of Northwest Iceland.
