All PROTIS orders are processed by Kavita ehf. the next business day after the order is placed. If the product is not in stock, a Kavita ehf. employee will contact you to inform you of the expected delivery time. Web orders can be picked up at the PROTIS office at Akralind 2 or shipped via Iceland Post.
For orders distributed by Iceland Post, the delivery, liability, and transport terms of Iceland Post apply to the delivery of the product. Kavita ehf. therefore bears no responsibility for lost shipments or damage that may occur to a product during transport. If a product is lost in the mail or suffers damage after it has been sent from Kavita ehf. to the recipient, the loss is the buyer’s responsibility.
Free home delivery applies to orders of 8,000 kr and above, unless otherwise stated.
SHIPPING OPTIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
ICELAND POST – PARCEL POST OFFICE
Order sent to nearest post office. Price: 1,190 kr.
Parcel Post Office is delivered at the recipient’s post office upon presentation of notification and photo ID. Notification of parcel is sent to the GSM number registered on the parcel. If no GSM number is registered, a printed notification is placed at the address registered for the parcel. The recipient can also grant another person written authorization to collect the parcel at the post office on their behalf. Storage time of parcels at the post office is 30 days from arrival date. A storage fee applies to shipments after 10 business days at the post office.
ICELAND POST – HOME DELIVERY
Orders are generally delivered home 1-3 days after posting. Price: 1,490 kr.
Home parcels are delivered to recipients where Iceland Post has a home delivery system. If posted before the last posting time, the parcel will be delivered on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd day after posting. Iceland Post’s quality standards aim for delivery to be attempted in at least 85% of cases on the first day after posting where possible.
ICELAND POST – PARCEL LOCKER
Parcel lockers are open 24/7 and are located throughout the country. Price: 990 kr.
See locations here. A Parcel Locker parcel is considered delivered to the recipient when the QR code has been scanned or pin number entered and the compartment opens. Iceland Post’s quality standards aim for next-day delivery to Parcel Lockers in 90% of cases. Parcel lockers are filled twice a day on weekdays and once on Saturdays.
Customers can only receive the following parcel shipments in Parcel Lockers:
– Domestic parcel shipments below size limits
– Maximum weight for Parcel Locker is 20 kg
– Domestic parcel shipments with no charges the recipient needs to pay
– Domestic parcel shipments without additional services except fragile
To use a parcel locker, you need to register at minnpostur.is and select a parcel locker as your delivery option. You can change your selected parcel locker at any time. After a parcel locker has been selected, all future shipments will be delivered to that parcel locker, regardless of the address on the shipments. Notifications are sent to the recipient’s GSM phone number.
